NSF DG grace the 17th Annual Scientific Conference of the Sri Lanka Optometric Association

Director General of the National Science Foundation was invited as the chief guest and the Keynote speaker of the 17th International Annual Scientific Sessions and the Trade Fair of the Sri Lanka Optometric Association (SLOA) which was held on the October 27 at ‘Imperial Monarch’, Sri Jayawardhanapura.

In the key note speech, she underlined that Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) play a key role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the targets that concern healthy lives and promote well-being for all, at all ages. She also emphasized the importance of the transdisciplinary research approach in finding solutions to problems of global relevance. Moreover, she highlighted the role of researchers, technologists and industrialists particularly in finding social and technological solutions to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all, at all ages.
